Real Kingman turquoise, 90 minutes north of Prescott.
Prescott has plenty of jewelry shops. None of them are sitting on the source. We are. Make the drive up Highway 89 and see the difference.
The drive from Prescott
From Whiskey Row in downtown Prescott, take Highway 89 north through Chino Valley and Ash Fork, then I-40 west to Kingman. About a hundred miles, ninety minutes to two hours depending on weather over Mingus and the Williams climb.
For Prescott Valley and Chino Valley, the drive is a little shorter — pick up 89 right out of town.
Why Prescott collectors come up
Prescott has a lot of Southwestern art and jewelry shops, especially around Whiskey Row and the Square. Most carry turquoise. Very little of it is verifiably Kingman material. Our customers from Prescott tend to be people who already know turquoise — they've collected for years, they can spot a fake from across the room, and they want to buy from a source they can verify.
What's worth the drive for
- Turquoise rings — single-stone, cluster, custom builds for collectors
- Necklaces and pendants — including the squash blossom case
- Bracelets and cuffs — heavy-gauge silver, top-grade stones
- Earrings — daily-wear and statement pieces
- Indigenous artisan pieces — signed Navajo, Zuni, Hopi work
- Custom design — bench builds for collectors with their own stones
